Needles

Great Waxed Cord! Maine waxed cord is incredibly strong and has the perfect wax formulation. They won't tell me what it is... the secret sauce! I love that it comes in may weights and colors. Perfect for cordwainers, like myself.

Waxed Cord The waxed cord is great! I have a rope tack business and I use it to sew eye splices, whip tie ends of rope halters, sew halter loops together, plus lots of other things. It is strong, durable and versatile. The color selection is great, too. I have used it since I started my business almost 6 years ago - no need to try anything else. Customer service at Maine Thread is wonderful also!

Fantastic! It is often so very hard to find materials and products made in America. In this case, I ordered the waxed poly cord and it's exactly what it should be: A high quality product, has many color options, along with a wide array of available gauges/weights. That in itself should be enough, but the icing on the cake is that it's reasonably priced! Even when ordering small amounts for folks like me, the cost and value are superb. Much better than those giant craft shops I've been using this gimp for various project over the years and had a giant spool that is finally running out. Increasingly it is hard to find this kind of thing except through specialty shops like Maine Thread, especially in smaller towns and cities. The same product is available at three times the price for about a 1/4 the amount at big box craft retailers like Michael's. I'm very pleased to find a good quality supplier.
